Steven is a nationally known respected expert in roofing consultation who provides forensic investigations, systems expertise, expert witness and testimony, and roofing consultations. A diverse client base values Steven’s comprehensive knowledge of roof inspections, surveys, analysis, testing, troubleshooting and roof designs. Steven has provided design and specification development for new and existing commercial, industrial, institutional and high-end residential construction projects including historical restoration, slate, clay/concrete tile and copper roofing projects.
Steven is a graduate of Washington University of St. Louis’s School of Architecture. With more than 40 years’ experience in the roofing industry, Steven offers knowledge of all aspects of roofing — working on the front lines of some of our country’s most catastrophic weather events. He also provides first-response forensic analysis and redesign of large complex commercial and industrial roof systems. Steven has performed Lead/Foreman/Superintendent duties for large roofing contractors, as well as an owner operator, to install commercial, industrial, and historical roof systems. Christopher R. Demien — Director of Operations
Christopher has been with Grayco since 2008 and is involved in the day-to-day business operations, inspections, report production and specification development for all Grayco projects. Christopher is involved daily with clients and project communications. There is rarely a project were Christopher has not had a hand in managing or production.
Christopher grew up working in his family’s lumber yard and has been around construction his entire life. Christopher attended Central Missouri State University where he graduated with a degree in secondary education and a minor in construction management.

Michael Trower, RRO, RRC — Director
Michael joined Grayco in 2010 and as director is involved in the inspection, documentation, production and management of reports detailing the onsite inspections that he is part of across the country. In addition to inspections and reports, Michael has increased Grayco’s services through continuing education and professional development with his advanced expertise in Xactimate estimating, Infrared Thermal Surveys, AutoCAD details and other services related to roof consulting and insurance-based weather peril investigations.
Michael is a graduate of Central Missouri State University and worked for many years in the civil engineering field before becoming part of the Grayco team. Michael regularly completes IIBEC and related continuing education classes and is working towards his RRC certification.

Drew Bade, RRO — Consultant
Drew joined Grayco in 2019 as a consultant and is involved in the documentation, analysis and production of reports detailing onsite inspections at locations all across the country. Drew provides unique knowledge in contractor style bids to provide real-world budgets and estimating for roofing projects.
Before joining the Grayco team, Drew spent 15+ years as a commercial roofing contractor. After working as a roof technician and going through the union roofers apprenticeship program during his first 5 years in the industry, Drew spent the following 10 years as a project manager and estimator. Drew’s family has been in the roof contracting business for over 50 years, and his knowledge in commercial roofing spans three generations. Drew’s roofing expertise encompasses many angles of the industry, from installation of a wide range of roofing to estimating, sales, contracting, procurement and oversight of large-scale commercial and industrial projects.
Drew attends and completes RCI and related continuing education classes and is working towards his RRC certification.

Joseph Mileti, RRC, RRO, CDT — Grayco Technical Advisory Board
Joe has been in the commercial roofing industry since 1982. Joe spent most of his career with membrane and insulation manufacturers, managing technical service departments and resolving warranty claims. While at Johns Manville, he was a primary presenter for the industry-acclaimed BURSI program which is the acronym of Better Understanding of Roof Systems Institute. Joe holds the Registered Roof Consultant and Registered Roof Observer professional designation from IIBEC, the Construction Documents Technologist designation from the Construction Specifications Institute, and the State of Illinois Department of Professional Regulation’s Roofing Contractor Qualifying Party designation. Joe is a graduate of Miami University of Ohio.
